Tourists can now visit tourist attractions, as well as save on food and overnight accommodation, thanks to a single CityPASS smart card in Almaty. How it will work and where it can be purchased, the correspondent figured out Today.kz .
The CityPASS package includes the map itself, a travel guide in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, English), the CityPASS Map of Almaty and Beeline SIM cards with the “Welcome” tariff.

According to the head of the management and PR department of CityPASS, Ainur Sergazieva, you can purchase a tourist card at points of sale (plastic cards) and order it on the website (the card will be in the phone) by paying for the purchase online.
“At the entrance to the tourist site, you will need to show the card at the ticket office or to the turnstile operator. The tourist will be able to visit each object on the map once. The card can be used within 72 hours from the moment of the first visit to the facility,” Sergazieva said.
She noted that even if a tourist visits six out of 12 possible sites on the map, he will still save about 30 percent of his budget.

“According to our map, you can visit such objects as the Kok-tobe cable car, the Shymkent, the Happy Eye Ferris wheel, the Almaty History Museum, the Kasteev Museum and a number of other interesting museums in the city. At the same time, the tour of the facility will be completely free. The map also includes an electric bus tour of the most picturesque places of Almaty,” Sergazieva shared.

She added that the card provides advantages not only when visiting tourist sites, but also restaurants and hotels.
“With our card, a tourist can get a 15 percent discount on a check in some catering establishments (24 restaurants), on a check in hotels (nine hotels) and in entertainment establishments (four children’s parks),” Ainur Sergazieva said.

It is worth adding that such a card has been in existence for a year and is in demand in Astana and in the resort of Burabai. In 2017, CityPASS sold about 30 thousand tourist cards in the capital.
