Charyn Canyon is one of the most unique objects of nature, where under the influence of thousands of years of weathering of sedimentary rocks, the original shape of the relief took the shape of isolated rocks, columns and towers. The Charyn Canyon is a natural monument composed of sedimentary rocks, the age of which is about 12 million years. The most interesting place for tourists is the so-called Valley of Castles. In the bosom of the canyon, there is a grove of a relict species of ash that survived the glaciation. Another similar grove exists only in North America. The landscape diversity of the Charyn Canyon determines the diversity of flora and fauna. Charyn Canyon resembles the Grand Canyon of Colorado (Grand Canyon) in North America, although it is inferior in size, but the beauty of the “Valley of Castles” is unique.
Kolsai Lakes are one of the most beautiful places of Kazakh nature, the lakes are called the pearl of the Northern Tien Shan. They are located at altitudes of 1800, 2250 and 2700 meters above sea level. The warm season lasts from April to the end of September.
Kolsai is a great place for camping, hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. The first lake is 1 km long. and a width of about 300 m. it is located at an altitude of 1818 m.. The middle lake is located at an altitude of 2552 m, 5 km higher from the first one. It is large and extremely picturesque, like a bowl of turquoise crystal in the palms of the mountains. The lower and middle lakes are “boiling” with trout playing at sunset. Anyone who has ever been lucky enough to visit these places will never forget their splendor, peace and tranquility around. When the water surface is absolutely calm, it reflects the sky and the enchanting panorama of the mountain landscape.
