www.obk.kz : A single smart tourist card has appeared in Almaty – Almaty CityPASS

19 April 2018

3 (1)

With the help of the Almaty CityPASS, tourists will be able to conveniently visit the sights, museums and excursions of the southern capital for three days and at the same time save a lot of time and money.
12 tourist sites of Almaty have already been connected to the map. The tourist will also be able to purchase a CityPASS with an ONAI transport card, for movement between objects by public transport.
“We are talking about the launch in Almaty of a smart card similar to those that already exist in the largest cities and tourist centers of the world – New York, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris, Berlin, London, Oslo and others.
This is the second smart card of a tourist that is being launched in Kazakhstan. CityPASS already exists in Astana, and in the future it is planned to launch in the Shchuchinsk-Borovskaya resort area. Given the availability of such maps in almost all major cities of the world, I believe that our cities and tourist centers should not be an exception,” said Rashid Kuzembayev, Chairman of the Board of NC Kazakh Tourism JSC.
The CityPASS package includes:

A smart card is a plastic card with a microchip for access to attractions.
a travel guide with a description of the city and links to audio guides of attractions and tourist routes in Kazakh, Russian and English.
a detailed map of the city.
a SIM card with the “Welcome” tariff plan.
Onai transport card (optional).
The CityPASS Kazakhstan project was launched with the support of NC Kazakh Tourism JSC and Astana Convention Bureau LLP last year in Astana. In 2017, more than 30 thousand Astana CityPASS cards were sold.
