The museum of S. Mukanov was opened in 1978, and the museum of G. Musrepov-in 1991, in the house where the writers lived and worked. In 1999, the State Literary and Memorial Museum Complex of S. Mukanov and G. Musrepov was established by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The fund of the complex has more than 12,000 thousand exhibits. The exposition of the museum complex not only reflects the life and creative path of the writers (youth, years of study, the formation of S. Mukanov and G. Musrepov as writers, their socio-political activities), but also recreates the history of our state through the personality of the writers. Here, literary documentary materials, as well as manuscripts of works and diary entries, revealing the versatility of their talent, are widely and clearly shown.
