The Book Museum is an amazing museum, where books in Persian, Kazakh, ancient Turkic and, of course, Russian are collected, books with autographs of the authors of Kazakhstan, old printed and ancient handwritten books on parchment, many interesting photos. The museum has more than 20 thousand books that tell about the history of the development of writing in Kazakhstan, as well as printing — up to its modern technologies.

Special attention should be paid to the thematic panel that decorates the interior decor of the museum walls. The museum is located in a building built in 1936 (previously it housed the People’s Commissariat of Grain Industry, later-agriculture, food).

Remember the restless dinosaur Rex from “Night at the Museum”? But few people know that the Museum of Nature and Paleontology also has enough “Rexes”. Here is a collection of skeletons of animals that once lived in the territory of Kazakhstan – tarbosaurus, fossil mammals, etc. The expositions are designed for all age categories of visitors. And if you turn a visit to the museum into an adventure, it will be interesting for both adults and children.

The Museum of Archaeology has hidden the real treasures of archaeologists-what has accumulated over the years of excavations and research. The Stone Age, the Bronze Age; tools, details of costumes in the “animal style”, funeral paraphernalia-here all these are treasures, carefully preserved witnesses of the history of long-past centuries. We usually talk only about the Golden Man, but this is not the only find of Russian archaeologists. You can take a look at the rest here.

The creation of the Museum of the History of Kazakhstan Science was dictated by an objective reason: the need for a comprehensive analysis and generalization of the history of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The museum became the first and so far the only museum in the republic of such a plan. The fund has more than 7 thousand items of storage, including books, documents, photographs, personal belongings of scientists, etc.
Structurally, the museum’s exposition is divided into 3 thematic sections:
1. The origins of Kazakh science since ancient times. The birth of Kazakh science. Scientists-enlighteners of the XIX century.
2. Development and formation of Kazakh science in the Soviet period.
3. Science of the independent Kazakhstan.

The museum’s activities are aimed at perpetuating the memory of outstanding events, state and public figures, prominent representatives of science, culture and art of Kazakhstan. The museum’s documentary materials cover the history of the origin, formation and development of Russian science, from antiquity to the present day.
